With great care and expertise, great wine can be produced in unexpected places. Wine should excite all the senses and evoke a sense of joy. Our wines are inspired by famous growing regions, but proudly grown and produced in Oklahoma. Wines made by hand are the best wines you can drink. Our vineyard’s story continues to evolve, and we invite wine-lovers to join us in our journey.

Pecan Creek Winery of Muskogee, Oklahoma opened its doors in 2014. The winery’s mission is to grow grapes locally and produce outstanding wines without using grape concentrate or grapes grown out of state. It is a labor of passion, commitment, and love. Winemaker, Bob Wickizer, brings an eclectic background to the business as a physicist and ordained Episcopal priest. Partner and grape-grower, D.I. Wilkinson, is a retired pediatrician with long experience in Texas farming. Most of the winery vineyard acreage is located on Wilkinson’s ranch a mile down the road from the winery. With the winery expansion in 2024, more acreage will be planted at the winery.

Pecan Creek Winery wins Double Gold medal for wine made from local grapes

Pecan Creek Winery of Muskogee submitted several wines to the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition in New York state.  The results of judging were released April 18, 2018 and Pecan Creek took a Double Gold medal for the best red hybrid. From its premium line of single varietal dry wines, Barrel Reserve 2014.
